Petunia’s – Seedling of the month for August

Quite frankly, I’d rank Petunia’s ‘up there’ as one of the seedlings of the year… They can be relied upon to flower in sunny locations pretty much all year round!

Petunia’s flower profusely in full sun locations. They make stunning low borders, flower bed fillers and of course are excellent in containers – large, small and otherwise. They are also great in hanging baskets.

Petunia’s come in all shapes and sizes. Newer varieties tend to have smaller flowers, but more of them. The older favourites have large, free-flowering blooms. The larger blooms tend to loose their lustre during periods of heavy rain, so petunia’s have developed a reputation for being more sought after in dryer weather.

Petunia’s need good quality soil with good drainage. Regular feeding will boost colour intensity and number of blooms.

Petunia’s are a popular colour option for Dandylion’s Mini Colour Pots and a regular addition to mixed containers.
